Hole

1

| Par 5 | 482 Yds.

Starting from the Club House, from a teeing area on top of a hill, we face a dog-leg, right, a broad fairway guarded by 3 cross-bunkers on the left, 150 yards from the green, on the right a lateral water hazard that is shared with hole 17. There is another cross-bunker, some few yards in front of the whole narrow undulating green, a challenge for those who want to reach the green with the second shot. A demanding hole that calls for a good starting drive, some fade will help.

hoyo1

Hole

2

| Par 4 | 412 Yds.

Towards the Club House again, we face the longest and one of the most challenging par 4 holes. A slight dog-leg left, passing between two group of high pine trees at about 200 yards from the teeing ground. Then the fairway turns left to sloped green well guarded on its front left by a deep sand trap and a grass bunker. On the right, before the green, there is a large cypress tree, an obstacle when shooting the second shot from the right centre of the fairway.

hoyo1

Hole

3

| Par 3 | 190 Yds.

This hole marks the beginning of the open area in the course, the Hotel comes into sight. A long teeing ground, the fairway of the 10th hole on its left, lines by arrayanes (a typical tree), up to the end of the teeing area. Some 80 yards from the tee, on the right of a narrow fairway, there is another group of these typical trees that are still growing. It is the most difficult of the three par 3 of the first round. Out of bounds is always close on the right side to punish slice; a hook can make you land on the fairway of the 10th hole, whose first part is common on both holes, and end up in Nahuel Huapi Lake, now visible on the left.

Hole

4

| Par 4 | 288 Yds.

After crossing a tunnel below the road you reach this hole, the closest to the Hotel gardens to enjoy the splendours of Moreno Lake. Its fairway is tilted to the green and to the thick bushes on the left. Only long accurate stroke can reach this green, which has a narrow access and is protected by fearsome bunkers. On the right side of the fairway, before the green, there is a cross-bunker. Big trees stand on yhe right side of the fairway that slopes down towards the out of bounds area.

hoyo1

Hole

5

| Par 4 | 354 Yds.

Crossing again another tunnel, it is from this part of the course, holes between 5 and 9, that the imposing Hotel can be seen from all of them with Mt. Tronador at its back. This hole, whose uphill fairway reaches an elevated green, has a splendid view of the other side of the Moreno Lake. On the right side of the fairway a cross-bunker lies at tee off distance: between this area and the green, there is some long grass like that of Scottich links and then it steeply falls towards the right, to a cross-bunker that is shared with the hole beside it.

hoyo1

Hole

6

| Par 4 | 284 Yds.

Slight dog-leg right. The fairway goes downhill to the left, then tilts up to a green hidden behind trees that shake in the wind. Although the shortest par 4 in the course, 2 cross-bunkers are a challenge to the tee off drive, on the left of the fairway, at about 200 yards; another cross-bunker protects the access to the green, which is in its turn well guarded by other cunningly positioned bunkers.

hoyo1

Hole

7

| Par 3 | 164 Yds.

Downhill. Out of bounds on the right. A large green, with hills and grass bunkers on the left, another strategically placed bunker, on the lower right side. The crosswind sweeps its way right to left, the shot can go out of bounds, consider driving with fade as an option, it is a tough par 3.

hoyo1

Hole

8

| Par 4 | 347 Yds.

This is an uphill hole, in the last 100 yards falls to a fairly small and fiercely guarded green. A cross-bunker at tee of on the left, just at beginning of the coarse grass that neighbours hole 5. Avoid left side of fairway, that is a must. It is one of the few holes in this part of the links that does not punish slice when teeing off.

hoyo1

Hole

9

| Par 4 | 341 Yds.

Slight dog-leg right. Great teeing ground that enables the player to vary the distance 2 intimidating cross-bunkers lie on right side of the hole. The fairway rolls uphill up to 200 yards then downhill right, towards a left to right transversal green. For a better approach, drive slightly to the left of fairway, so as to get a better angle to access this tricky green.

hoyo1

Hole

10

| Par 4 | 365 Yds.

After crossing two tunnels, having Moreno Lake and the Hotel at your back, you return to Nahuel Huapi Lake. It is an abrupt dog-leg right, at the side of the lake all the time. Towards a two level green protected by two left bunkers, narrow fairway after 150 yards from the green, lined by tall trees on the left. Its supposed to be the most difficult par 4 in the whole course, it calls for 2 accurate strokes, the wind always blows towards the lake..

hoyo1

Hole

11

| Par 6 | 151 Yds.

Drawing close to the Club House, this is the shortest hole, a very accurate tee off drive from an elevated teeing ground is required; at this back Nahuel Huapi Lake, surrounded by an imposing mountain chain. Downhill fairway towards a bunker guarded small green, out of bounds right behind..

hoyo1

Hole

12

| Par 4 | 334 Yds.

Slight dog-leg right, broad fairway downhill to the right, thick rough and a line of trees on the left to punish hook, a pine forest on the right close to a three level green that stretches from left to right and is well guarded by two lateral bunkers. Accurate tee off to the left of the centre of the fairway so as to get a better angle to approach the green. .

hoyo1

Hole

13

| Par 4 | 288 Yds.

Dog-leg left. Narrow fairway an important line of trees on the left, downhill to the right, it may lead your drive to a large cross-bunker, some 200 yards from the green, broad 2 level green surrounded by a cypress forest. A drive with draw will help to avoid the cross-bunker, then a second shot to the right cince the green has an open access on that side.

hoyo1

Hole

14

| Par 3 | 182 Yds.

Long teeing ground that allows different distances to play the hole. The fairway is downhill to the left, so is the green, it is well protected by a deep bunker on its left and a smaller one on the right. This green has two well defined platforms, it is one of the most difficult hole; two putts is a good bet.

hoyo1

Hole

15

| Par 4 | 335 Yds.

In this sections of the links, the holes lie in an imposing cypress forest, this par 4 calls for 2 accurate shots because of the number of trees and because the elevated green is on the slope of a mountain, protected by two deep grass bunkers, an obstacle of approach unless the ball is safe after the second shot..

hoyo1

Hole

16

| Par 4 | 357 Yds.

This hole has a very narrow undulating fairway. Dog-leg left. Then it goes steeply uphill at some 120 yards from the green connecting its two platforms. The teeing ground is elevated, in line towards the trees on the right, tight driving from the tee is recommended with a short iron and with draw, so as to keep the ball on this aisle between trees whose branches bend down making a kind of roof that impedes a high shot.

hoyo1

Hole

17

| Par 5 | 516 Yds.

After the “interesting climb” of the previous hole, we face a downhill fairway, dog-leg left at 200 yards, with three cross-bunkers on the right. Now the fairway gets flatter and is always guarded by lateral hazard on the left, Nahuel Huapi Lake marking the limits of the course. There is a water hazard on the right that almost reaches the long and narrow green. Tee off with draw is recommended, avoid cross-bunkers and try to access this green through its front part.

hoyo1

Hole

18

| Par 3 | 220 Yds.

And now, you are about to finish, stride towards Llao Llao star hole, a huge inlet of Nahuel Huapi Lake lies in front of you, as if flooding the links on a bay that has to be carried over from a rising teeing ground, it makes Nahuel Huapi Lake more threatening and awe inspiring. A cross-bunker lies in the left centre of he fairway between two groups of trees, that go up to a large green with a great depression at the top.
